Joan Egurrola is a passionate Paper Art designer. Starting out as the creator of "CardsbyJoane", which quickly evolved into an entire studio concept now called "The Sandbox".
"With a background of over 10 years in luxury retail, I was lefted over-worked, and stressed. I loved the high pace, high fashion industry, although it always made me feel empty at the end of the day.
One day I decided to walk away from it , and later gravitated towards paper art as a therapeutic activity. But in no time I was back on a busy schedule creating everything from Handmade cards, invitations, wedding favors,to custom albums for friends and family. The more projects I was involved with, the more I enjoyed the challenge!
It's amazing how powerful the emotions are from some people that receive custom work of paper art. By just manipulating a few pieces of paper and molding it into familiar objects and embellishing a person's favorite picture, you can sense the happiness evoked by your work".
Here at the sandbox studio, our goal is to work closely with our clients to determine and create an environment that is a reflection of their needs - whether it is a single scrapbook page or an entire album.
Whether you want a quiet place to finish your arts and crafts project, a meeting place for scrapbooking groups, seeking some creative direction, help on finishing touches, or in need of one or two craft skill refresher course, we can work within your requirements. We will gladly meet with you to define your personal style and create a timeline to suit your immediate needs as well as long term creative plans.
